Sure, I went to film school. Yes, I’ve worked on all sort of sets in all sorts of roles. But the most valuable experience I’ve accrued has been through creating, pitching and producing my own work and helping others do the same.
What I’ve learned is that story really is all that matters. It’s what brings audiences to the theatres and subscribers to the streamers. It’s what draws actors to a role and investors to the table.
Write a great story and the rest will follow.
I love story. I want to get the best possible version of it down on paper because you can’t share it with the world, until you’ve written it down.
